relieve the pressure
Dialogue:
Julia: Hi, Bill. Did you have a good vacation?
嗨，比尔。你的假期过得好吗？
Bill:
Marvelous
. I went to Chengdu and spent
a week there.
非常棒。我去了成都，并在那里待了一个星
期。
J：Sounds great. Is there anything special
that attract you?
听起来很不错。有什么特别吸引你的吗？
B：Yes, the
leisure
life and the food there. I
am tried of the busy and
stressful
life in
Shanghai. So it is really a good trip to
Chengdu.
有的，那里的休闲生活和美食。我已经厌倦了
在上海忙碌和紧张的生活。所以，去成都旅行
真的不错。
J：Tell me more about the city.
跟我多说说这座城市。
B：Living in Chengdu is like jogging while
living in Shanghai is like running. It doesn't
mean the pace of life is slower. Things are
happening quickly like
skyscrapers
, but
the
residents
are cool toward them and
more relaxed.
在成都生活如慢跑，而在上海生活则是快速奔
跑。这并不意味着成都的生活节奏比较慢。在
那儿，节奏也很快，摩天大楼拔地而起，但是
居民的心态更加淡然和轻松。
J：Interesting. I feel like going there for
vacation next time.
有意思。我下次也要去成都度假。

e.g The skyscraper towers into the clouds.
那栋摩天大楼高耸入云。
5. resident: 居民
e.g Almost every resident is a tenant of the
duchy.
这里几乎所有的居民都是公国的住户。
